She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University and continued taking classes in NYC at the Art Students League, Parsons School of Design and with the renowned artist Betty Holiday.
Ms. Murillo's business experience includes managing a graphic design studio,
serving on the creative staff of a large toy, stationary, and leisure products company, freelance packaging design and new product development.
Her art is very personal and emotional, filled with color, energy, and movement. It sometimes transforms from its original intent during the creative process. The work often includes various media and styles.
After suffering an eye injury that temporarily impaired her vision, she drew on her positive attitude and created some of her finest and innovative work she calls her “One Eye Series.” |
